Our teachers and parent volunteers are so vital to maintaining Dominion Academy’s excellence both inside and outside the classroom. They each put in countless hours to make our children’s daily experiences fun and special. They also encourage our children in their spiritual journeys. Each year the PTF recognizes one teacher and one volunteer for their outstanding contributions based on your nominations. Perhaps we can never repay them for how they have touched our lives, or those of our children, but we want to try. We would like your nominations for the 2009-2010 PTF Golden Crown Awards.
TEACHER NOMINATION
What would Dominion Academy be without our precious teachers? We can all think of a time when a teacher has gone above and beyond in an effort to reach one of our children, selflessly giving of their time and love. As you think about who would be deserving of this award, consider not only your child’s teacher but all of the amazing specials teachers that we are so blessed to have at our school (i.e., art, music, physical education, Academic Resources, computer, drama, Spanish). You may nominate your child’s teacher, a specials teacher or perhaps you have heard one of the many touching stories about another teacher and want to nominate that individual. Please site specific examples as you list the unique aspects of that deserving teacher.
VOLUNTEER NOMINATION
Selfless is a word that can be used to describe our wonderful Dominion Academy volunteers. Many of us can recall a time when a Mom or Dad dropped everything to help us in a pinch. Dominion Academy relies so much on our volunteers; we wouldn’t be the same without their many contributions. Our volunteers embody the definition of service, often doing things that go unnoticed to help both our activities inside and outside the classroom run smoothly. Please site specific examples as you list the unique aspects of that deserving volunteer.
